Where and When Did James Hardy & Jane Cadman meet?
My research into this question looks into James' time with the 66th Regiment and his attestation papers. I am trying to pinpoint his different barracks in Ireland and if he was stationed in the area where I found a Jane Cadman.
She is found in church records and a possibility she may be the Jane Cadman who had married J Connor.
Very little is known about Jane Cadman, wife to James Hardy, so I'm keen to get this research completed soon. My goal will be to make a timeline for the Irish Jane Cadman and see what records I can find to match her and if it helps to eliminate her or keep her as a possible match.
CONCLUSION OF RESEARCH
In 1849 James Hardy was living in Omagh. Given Jane's age at the time and the conception date of their daughter Isabella, it is most likely that the marriage took place in Omagh. It is unclear though if the couple knew each other in Londonderry.
